Still another affected area in the Visayas

Roxas City...

Otherr affected area

Ormoc City in Leyte Province was among the hardest areas hit by Typhoon Yolanda, along with Dulag, Tolasa, and Tublacon City, with 12 people dead in Ormoc alone.
Many more were killed in Tublacon, with an estimated 10,000 people dead nationwide.
Ormoc Rep. Lucy Torrez-Gomez told ABS-CBN that “there is not a single home in Ormoc that is not severely damaged.”
She told Rappler there’s thousands of homeless people after the typhoon damage and that there’s no clean water or electricity.
“The situation there is very bad,” Gomez said. “The entire city is devastated. Homes are damaged and it doesn’t matter whether they’re sturdy. Entire roads are gone, shanties across coastal areas are totally damaged.”

Thanksgiving

Philippines :  We the sisters , here in Guimaras island that form part of the of the Visayas  had also our stories to recount of how scary was the typhoon Yolanda was. the aftermath of the Yolanda left us without our Indian tree standing , our garden cottage broken and 1 day no current  and cellphone signal.  Our neighboring communities felt even more the long  days of no electric power . Our school personnel had their stories to tell on  having stayed for a night in the evacuation center and when home the following day with their houses a bit in disaster situation. but no serious report of death or accidents from the school personnel  and from  pupils. We continue our  regular school day and urge the pupils to pray hard for the  many losses of lives and the horrible disaster the typhoon had left.  We strive to get help from the parents of the pupils  for whatever donations they can share for the victims . We hope we can get a generous response for this cause ,  as there are so many people  around the globe and just even within the country trying to find means and ways , big or small , to extend help... so must we.  Thank you sisters for your prayers , for those who gave us a call to checked on our safety , for those who sent their messages through the mobile, for your emails a big thanks. We apreciated  it so much . May the Lord have mercy on us in this hard time in the history of the Philippines.
