THE OTHER SIDE OF NUN SENSE

January 15, 2011, we just thought of playing  around  in the vineyard of the Lord...  It was fun to play with Christ playing...  The team Love played very well... Congratulations !

CULMINATION ACTIVITY OF PARIS YEAR

January 13, 14 and 15, 2011 were those  days the three communities in the Philippines gathered and as well  with sister Anastasia to represent Indonesia , who happened to be in the Philippines for the Perpetual Profession of three Indonesian sisters.

We were also thankful that the Vice Provincial Councilors were all present in the said event.

The purpose of the three days get together was to listen to each other on how each community celebrated the year long celebration of the 125th Death anniversary of Venerable Maria Antonia Paris .

Each community , though small in number had done their best to make the year of Paris special within the community and in their respective ministries.

The afternoon of the third day of the gathering was our Fraternal bonding. Three groups were created namely : Faith , Hope and Love. We started the afternoon with a  prayer at  the grotto , parade followed next just  around the garden with  groups cheers and presentation of the banner. Each of the group competes for the most beautiful banner, for Parlor games and volleyball game the only outdoor game we had. We had such a wonderful fun time together .

We are united in saying that the year of Paris with the Congregational-seminars supported by the different readings and topics had truly put us all “into the deep.” Everyone has their touching stories to share about how Antonia’s life had affected their way of living and thinking.

With profound gratitude, we the sisters of ASIA Vice Province would like to thank the team of the General government for all the efforts done in the translation ( English ) to reached us , assist us and helped us be truly part of this congregational event celebration.

Perpetual Profession Of Rita, Theresia and Bernadeta

Congratulations! Proficiat ! Omedetto Gozaimasu! sisters Theresia Juita, Bernadeta Nunur and Bergita Leko had Forever sealed their Love to God in the  celebration of their Perpetual Profession , last January 17, 2011 at Quezon City, Philippines.

The Celebration started at 3:00 in the afternoon with Reverend Fr. Leo Dalmao, CMF,the Provincial Superior of the Claretian Fathers with 10 others con-celebrant priests.

Sister Teresa Hashimoto, the Provincial Superior received their vows, with her is sister Inocencia Rodrigo ,who took charge of them while they  were in the formation house for almost three months for the needed preparation before their Perpetual profession.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the guests were all invited for a dinner . There were also short program of singing and dancing from our Sri Lankan postulants ,  Indonesian novices and some guests.

There were a lot of people who came to grace the occasion. We thank them for the prayers and support and as well to those persons could not make it on that day for reasons of work and distance like their beloved families, thank you so much for your unwaivering love and support.

We pray through the intercession of our Mother Foundress Antonia on whose feast day the occasion celebrated ... that they may not only be good but also  holy in their chosen vocation.

MARIA ANTONIA PARIS CLOSING CELEBRATION 2011

The community of Zamboanga, culminated the year of Antonia Paris last January 21, 2011, with the Most Reverend Bishop Romulo G. Valles, DD, Archbishop of Zamboanga , the presider of the Eucharistic celebration. The bishop in his homily expressed his gratitude and happiness having been invited for the first time and as well to see the place.

We started the celebration at 6:00 in the evening, besides our students in the Maria Antonia Paris dormitory , there came as well our lay friends , neighbors , some collaborators , some from the women Religious Congregations and our Claretian Fathers.

It was not only for us the sisters to rejoice on that day, our students had also reason to be happy because it was also their Maria Antonia Paris dorm's Day. Towards the end of the Mass, the Archbishop blessed them with Holy water and rendered prayers for them. Encouraging them to be good and responsible in their studies.
Dinner was served after the Eucharist. There were a lot of food prepared for that day. The celebration was made possible specially the food because of the support of benefactors of the community and was well families and relatives of the our dear students of the dormitory. May the Lord answers their prayers for whatever intentions they wrote on a piece of paper as part of their donations.

After dinner, the students stayed for awhile to sing, to play, to enjoy each others company and to claim their simple gifts from sister Antonette for whatever awards they got .

We pray that all these activities will lead us - sisters, students and some lay friends to proclaim the Gospel in whatever way possible for the good and growth of the Church .Viva Antonia Paris ! Viva , Mary Immaculate !

BENEDICT XVI'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

"May the Birth of the Savior Open Horizons of Lasting Peace"

May the light of Christmas shine forth anew in the Land where Jesus was born, and inspire Israelis and Palestinians to strive for a just and peaceful coexistence. May the comforting message of the coming of Emmanuel ease the pain and bring consolation amid their trials to the beloved Christian communities in Iraq and throughout the Middle East; may it bring them comfort and hope for the future and bring the leaders of nations to show them effective solidarity. May it also be so for those in Haiti who still suffer in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and the recent cholera epidemic. May the same hold true not only for those in Colombia and Venezuela, but also in Guatemala and Costa Rica, who recently suffered natural disasters.

May the birth of the Savior open horizons of lasting peace and authentic progress for the peoples of Somalia, Darfur and Côte d’Ivoire; may it promote political and social stability in Madagascar; may it bring security and respect for human rights in Afghanistan and in Pakistan; may it encourage dialogue between Nicaragua and Costa Rica; and may it advance reconciliation on the Korean peninsula.

May the birth of the Savior strengthen the spirit of faith, patience and courage of the faithful of the Church in mainland China, that they may not lose heart through the limitations imposed on their freedom of religion and conscience but, persevering in fidelity to Christ and his Church, may keep alive the flame of hope. May the love of "God-with-us" grant perseverance to all those Christian communities enduring discrimination and persecution, and inspire political and religious leaders to be committed to full respect for the religious freedom of all.
Dear brothers and sisters, "the Word became flesh"; he came to dwell among us; he is Emmanuel, the God who became close to us. Together let us contemplate this great mystery of love; let our hearts be filled with the light which shines in the stable of Bethlehem! To everyone, a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Party

December 12, 2010. The Children Care Mission Program- Zamboanga, ended the year 2010 with a Christmas party. The Christians  were  invited to attend the Eucharist  to thank and pray to God for the intentions of our donors throughout the year from 8:00 to 9:00 at the SAn Antonio Maria Claret Parish. After an hour , we proceeded to the party venue  at our residence . The place was prepared not so much with lanterns and colors but the very  STAR of Christmas  - the Infant Jesus - the Birthday celebrant . There the program proper had started with an opening prayer again for the benefactors and friends of  the program who ever they may be. The host of the program greeted everyone with a Merry Christmas . Sister Antonette was gave a Christmas reflection  on which the children where requested to listen carefully. There were rewards for: Perfect Attendance ( those who comes every sunday for feeding ), the most generous child  ( for those who contribute from their heart ) , search for the  3 most beautiful Christmas greeting Cards and as well awards for the  best Christmas performance.  other activities in the program were games with prizes. At 11:00 packed lunched was served by our very committed young people which we call volunteers. They ate, they danced, got their gifts, opened it with much surprised and joy  to see a lot of things inside . We ended at 12:00 noon with a big smile on the faces of the children saying " MARAMING SALAMAT PO  ( THANK YOU SO MUCH ) I LOVE YOU.

...for making others happy , let the  Child JESUS  be Born in our hearts each day .
