VOCATION MINISTRY REPORT

On June 26-29, 2012, I went to Vietnam to visit the second group of Students who desired to join the Congregation. There were 6 of them. They all came from the middle of Vietnam but near the border of the North. Fr. Gerry Kumar, cmf, accompanied me again to meet them and their families.

On the month of October to November I went back to Vietnam to stay with them in Saigon for a month before taking them to the Philippines to study English first. This time there were 7 of them because one girl from the South who is the niece of our Claretian brother came to join the group. So, with the 7 of them  I came back to the Philippines on the 9th of November.

They are now staying in Quezon City while processing their Visa and at the same time they are doing their English class. When the Visa will be done they will then move to Zamboanga City. May God continue to bless what He has started with them.

Aspirant: Agnes Simplisia

1. My name is Agnes Simplisia Ardila Bahan. I was born on March 2, 1995 in Taetimu, Benlutu. I join the Claretian Missionary Sisters on June 20, 2012 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I am really happy being here with our sisters. I feel that they are just like my family. Here, I learn a lot most especially to love and be humble. Hoping that one day I will be one more a member of  the Claretian Missionary Sisters. Please pray for my perseverance in answering God’s call every day.

Aspirant: Modesta Oki

 2. Hi, my name is Medina Lumban Raja. I was born on August 18, 1990 in Gurubanua, North Sumatera. I have three sisters and three brothers and I’m the fourth child. I joined with the community of Claretian Missionaries Sisters in Jogjakarta on August 8, 2012. I’m really happy and thankful to God in knowing this Congregation. I ask your favor to pray for me so that I can grow to be better and always faithful to Him. “Let me be the smallest from everything to receive His greatest love.”

3. My complete name is Modesta Oki. I was born on March 24, 1994 in Soe, Kupang. I am the fifth amiong the twelve children. I am so happy to be here with our sisters. In this community, I can discover my joy. Please pray for my own joyful perseverance that I may be faithful to Him.

4. My name is Veronika Nyoman Tri Astutu. Usually they call me Tuthy. I was born on May 8, 1995 in Kendari, South East of Sulawesi. I have six sisters and four brothers. I am the eleventh. I join  the community here, being together with the sisters and my companions. They are so loving and kind. I learn many things here especially discovering myself through the classes given by the sisters and in the sharing we used to have. Please pray for my fidelity in answering God’s call every day. Thank you so much.

5. My complete name is Yuliana Bunga Sogen. Usually, people used to call me “Yuli”. I was born in Solor, East of Flores, on June 11, 1993. I have four brothers. My motto is “To be brave”.I took this as a main key in my life to do everything. That’s why with this attitude I come to respond God’s call in Claretian Missionaries Sisters. In this congregation, I really learn how to live in simplicity, be humble and to live together with our own uniqueness. Please pray for my joyful perseverance so that I will be faithful to Him always and to bring others to believe in Christ Jesus.

 

Silver Jubilee Experience shared

25^th Anniversary

October 6, 2012

October 6, 2012 was  a day of great joy for was our  Silver Jubilee celebration . The 25 years of existence of our Congregation here in the Philippines is a journey of joy and pain, struggle and success, loses and gains, smile and tears, failures and victories. With all this experiences the constancy of God’s love and presence in our life sustained us.

As a Postulant and the sole Filipina in formation, I am very grateful and happy to be part of this Congregation. The uniqueness and giftedness of the sisters who came from different countries and with different personalities compliments each other.  It brings richness and beauty in our life in communion. We didn’t choose each other, it was God’s grace and the Charism our Founders that brought us together with one heart and soul, one focus and direction “to make God known and loved by all people”. May we truly live life as new apostles with the torch of the Gospel in our hand.”

MISSION EXPOSURE

Guimaras, Philippines. The Sto, Nino Catholic School  religious activities in charge Sis. Frigidia Stanislaus had initiated a Mission Exposure for grades 4 and 5 ,to visit the site of the Child and Youth Care Institutions of the Good Shepherds Fold Academy. This institution was founded in 1946 , the only orphanage in Guimaras Province. The purpose of the visit is to deepen  in them the values of Compassion, Generosity and Availability.

The activity was realized last October 25,  half day encounter. There  were sharing of goods from our side, shared merienda, games ,simple presentation from both sides  and house viewing. At the end of the day , the different level  took time to listen from each other share their experiences of the day. After all , in the midst of wind and  heavy rain, they managed to come and  made themselves and others happy with their donations and presence. It was indeed a meaningful experience  for each one.

Dear sisters in the Philippines,

We too are proud about these 25 years of Formation & Mission which our beloved 

sisters continue in this lovable place of Philippines.  Our memories too go back to more 

than 15 years and we are very grateful for each one of the sister who collaborated 

in our formation.  

Philippines is our first love in the life of our vocational and spiritual journey.  Many have

contributed in our growth.  This is the time to recall and remember all what we 

gain and lost for our growth.

With grateful hearts we remember and pray for the continuous growth of the mission 

in the Philippines.
