ENCOUNTER OF THE LOCAL SUPERIORS

 

 

            The Province of East Asia is holding for the first time an Encounter of Local Superiors with the Provincial Government from December 17-21 at Takatsuki, Japan in the midst of the cold weather which majority of the participants are not used to. There are nine (9) Superiors who are present and two of them are members of the Provincial Government also: The Provincial, Asunta Hori, superior of Takatsuki and Francisca Wakabayashi, the Vicar, superior of Kurashiki. The other seven superiors are from Philippines,Teresita Buen fo Zamboanga, Marissa Amog of Quezon City, Marita Jovellanos of Guimaras. From Indonesia are Melania Senes of Jogjakarta and Magdalena Seno of Kendari while the other two are form Timor Leste, Bernadetta Nunur and Angela Son of Korea. The other member of the Council are Teresa Hashimoto, Anastasia Wio and Rizalyn Solitario. 

 

 

            

  We are very grateful to have Fr. Jose Abella, cmf, former Superior General of our Claretian Brothers as our special guest speaker on December 19, 2016.

HAPPY FEAST DAY

May this mystery of Immaculate Conception impels us to fight against evil in any of its forms and opens us to joy and hope.

On this day also we give thanks to God for the gift of vocation He has given to our postulant LILIANA MARIA RIBEIRO who begins her journey to the Novitiate. 

The community had the rite to the Novitiate for Liliana integrated in the morning prayer. Madre Asunta, our provincial Superior gave her message to Liliana at this occasion.

NEW MISSION IN VIETNAM

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD; HIS LOVE IS EVERLASTING”

One thing we can do is to give thanks to the Lord for his everlasting love, his abiding presence and his unfathomable goodness as we start our mission in Vietnam. Sr. Liem and I   , after having professed, were assigned to the ministry of pastoral vocational  in our own country. We witnessed how the Lord’s hands were leading us from our very first steps. On September 16, Sr. Rizalyn came to be with us, and with the help of the Claretian fathers, to rent a house for us to stay. We experienced God’s providence in many circumstances and people, especially Mr. JoaKim Dong, who allowed us to stay in their house until we can rent a house. As of now we are still staying with his family. On September 14, the first candidate came to be with us. Some other have not yet come due to some personal reasons. On September 20, we started English class with the candidate and still looking forward for the coming of other candidates.
