BENEDICT XVI'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

"May the Birth of the Savior Open Horizons of Lasting Peace"

May the light of Christmas shine forth anew in the Land where Jesus was born, and inspire Israelis and Palestinians to strive for a just and peaceful coexistence. May the comforting message of the coming of Emmanuel ease the pain and bring consolation amid their trials to the beloved Christian communities in Iraq and throughout the Middle East; may it bring them comfort and hope for the future and bring the leaders of nations to show them effective solidarity. May it also be so for those in Haiti who still suffer in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and the recent cholera epidemic. May the same hold true not only for those in Colombia and Venezuela, but also in Guatemala and Costa Rica, who recently suffered natural disasters.

May the birth of the Savior open horizons of lasting peace and authentic progress for the peoples of Somalia, Darfur and Côte d’Ivoire; may it promote political and social stability in Madagascar; may it bring security and respect for human rights in Afghanistan and in Pakistan; may it encourage dialogue between Nicaragua and Costa Rica; and may it advance reconciliation on the Korean peninsula.

May the birth of the Savior strengthen the spirit of faith, patience and courage of the faithful of the Church in mainland China, that they may not lose heart through the limitations imposed on their freedom of religion and conscience but, persevering in fidelity to Christ and his Church, may keep alive the flame of hope. May the love of "God-with-us" grant perseverance to all those Christian communities enduring discrimination and persecution, and inspire political and religious leaders to be committed to full respect for the religious freedom of all.
Dear brothers and sisters, "the Word became flesh"; he came to dwell among us; he is Emmanuel, the God who became close to us. Together let us contemplate this great mystery of love; let our hearts be filled with the light which shines in the stable of Bethlehem! To everyone, a Merry Christmas!

FIRST PROFESSION

HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING FITTING IN HIS  TIME AND THAT  IS TODAY
October 18, 2010, Novitiate House, Quezon City , Philippines

When I woke up this morning, I was so happy, full of joy, knowing that something beautiful will happen today. Really, today is a day of grace. I give thanks to Him for all, confirming that " this is the day, the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it".
So wonderful to have this feeling. I do not know how to describe them specially during time I said the Formula of profession...  I was a little bit in tension, but that's a great experience, an experience that it does not only involve my presence  but  the whole of my being. I will never stop to cherish " what is today "because today  is so significant to me, even though I must end  my novitiate today also, but still it's so significant because my novitiate  and stages before, help me to be " today', help me  to won the truth that my vocation is so beautiful  and precious. So, situation changes and journey continues...
The experience of today will always be a reminder for us that our faithful God will not fail us after calling us to be in this fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ.
Nothing I could say more, instead of saying thank you for all and to all... ( for the Vice Province of Asia, Sis. Teresa Hashimoto with all the sisters in Japan, for the community of Zamboanga the place of my short exposure, Quezon City community, Sis. Inocencia and all the sisters, Novices and Postulants, for our first community in Jogjakarta, Sis. Anastasia and all the sisters there, to our beloved formator, all the sisters wherever they are and those people who were helping us in many ways... sisters, thank you for everything.
I would like to end up my sharing by repeating the words of our founders Ven. Maria Antonia Paris and St. Anthony Mary Claret " LORD, I DO NOT SEEK OR WISH TO KNOW ANYTHING BUT HOW TO FULFILL YOUR HOLY WILL. I WANT NOTHING BUT YOU AND IN YOU ALONE ALL OTHER THINGS. YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME".
...Pray for our joyful perseverance and fidelity to Christ , our Highest Good.

From Ursula Tuan Henakin, Indonesian

TREMBLING DAY IS A DAY OF GRACE

Today is a day that  will remind us of our commitment. Yes! that's our first profession .
I would like to share my experience but first allow me to express my deep gratitude for each one of you. For your prayers, support, words of encouragement  and specially for the efforts during the time of preparation, thank you so sisters. I am very grateful for everything.
The celebration was very simple and solemn , I was so happy but at the same time trembling and tense. Oh, my God today is indeed a day of Grace because without the gift of vocation from God, I would not be here right now. It is also  amazing day as I  become a member of the big Claretian family.
Even my parents and family were not able to come, I was happy  because i believe that I am not alone and being strengthen by the presence of my sisters and some guests that have been very close to me.
After the Eucharistic celebration we had a simple snacks with the guests and nothing we could say to them  but only THANK YOU FOR COMING . In the morning , before we had our celebration we had our simple ritual of receiving the habit from Sis. Teresa Hashimoto, our Mother Provincial , I was touched by her short message for us in which i could not count several times she mentioned the same words that is " STAY CLOSE, CLOSER TO JESUS ". It continue to echo in my awareness and i believe that this is our vocation.
I realized also that life is a journey and it takes time and process. This day was the beginning of something new in my life. I feel  unworthy but by the grace of the Lord and with you around , I could say that I have started and will continue to follow the Lord who have chosen me. I pray " Lord only one thing I long keep me faithful in Your path". Lastly, I would lie to remember again the wisdom of Claret and Paris and the sweet smile of Sis. Teresita Albarracin .
                                    HOPE AGAINST ALL HOPES
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU

Sr. Rizalyn led us into a deeper and more intimate contact with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. The sisters also joined the Barrio Fiesta held on April 28 in the evening at the School compound. The Parish priests from different parishes and some diocesan seminarians were also present during the Camp. The Camp ended on April 30 at 3:00 in the afternoon. A Growing and a Meaningful Experience

First of all, I would like to thank the Lord and for the sisters who have given me this opportunity to have my exposure in Guimaras one of our mission house in Philippines . I arrived here on June 5, 2010. It is a blessings and I find it wonderful, surprising, and challenging. There are many new things I encounter in the community and in the school. It takes time for me to adjust with the new situations, the new people, the new community and the mission itself. But I entrust myself to the One who can make everything possible and whom as a Subject of our mission. With the help of His grace, now I feel so at home. I am assigned as Assistant teacher (Kinder), and help Sr. Vicky to buy things needed for the canteen.

The First day in the school indeed was an experience of amazing grace; I didn’t know what and how it is to be an assistant teacher. I had no idea about it but the Lord gives me the grace and I let it be according to the situation. Honestly it was exiting and a very tiring day because it was the first day of the school year 2010-2011 for all of us. However, the situation is now becoming friendly, and I am at home with the children and vice versa. I enjoy assisting them, and I do my best in giving attention and in loving them in a simple way I can.
Lastly, through this simple experience, I realize and reconfirm that God is not Speaking only through the PEOPLE but also through the daily EVENTS of our lives and so… my mission is to TRUST IN HIM no matter how hard it is, for He knows what is best for us and His mission.

with Love
Ika Mbawo ( a 2nd year novice  on exposure)

YES TO GOD

" Every priest, every consecrated person, faithful to his or her vocation, radiates the joy of serving Christ and draws all Christians to respond to the universal call to holiness. Consequently, in order to foster vocations to the ministerial priesthood and the consecrated life, and to be more effective in promoting the discernment of vocations, we cannot do without THE EXAMPLE OF THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY SAID " YES " TO GOD AND TO HIS PLAN  for the life of each individual. PERSONAL WITNESS, IN THE FORM OF CONCRETE EXISTENTIAL CHOICES, WILL ENCOURAGE YOUNG PEOPLE FOR THEIR PART TO MAKE DEMANDING DECISIONS AFFECTING THEIR FUTURE".

WHAT I AM DOING FOR CHRIST?

Jesus Christ is the center of my life. I want to follow him and to know him and to offer my life to Him, especially in my vocation in the congregation of RMICM. In my vocation I must be responsible in my everyday life as a novice. Like in prayer, any activities, and my relationship with God and relationship with my community.
It is important to serve God and to love Him and to know Him more and more. What does He want in my life? What does he want in my community? In my relationship with other people I want to serve them and to share my life for them with love and full of hope. What does Jesus want in my life I will do and what can I do for other people I will do for them. And I will say “not my want but what do you want. To love God, to serve Him, to love other people and to serve them. Lord this is me use me as you will.

I would like to share my this short reflection with a simple poem, The title is He is all about….

He is All About

The days are passing,
The experiences are overflowing
Neither pleasant events nor unpleasant
All are going on…
Do I still love this “Vocation, a beautiful gift?”
Of Course!
That’s my own life
That’s my struggles
That’s my happiness, too…

What’s the special thing in living this life?
I don’t know precisely…

But…
That’s what I feel, burning inside
I see, moving me
I think, changing me
I do, encourage me
I experience, make me understand little by little that life….

Should be lived in gratitude,
Nothing is useless
Nothing is to be disappointed
And I believe to whom I live for
And To Let Him to stir up my life .

Jesus….

Open my heart to stay close to you and always bear in mind that you are present in everybody. May I continue to  persevere in my journey as a “New Claretian” who is able to cross the boundaries of my self and reach out to others as You did.
